Chen cofounded Sea in 2009 with Forrest Li and Gang Ye.

Sea has rolled out digital financial services in Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Brazil.
A computer engineer, Chen worked with Temasek-owned port operator PSA Corp before becoming an entrepreneur.
