Miguel Fluxá Rosselló is the executive chairman of Grupo Iberostar, one of Europe's largest hotel companies.
He joined the family business, originally a footwear company founded by his grandfather, in 1962 and launched the Iberostar hotel brand in 1986.
The company now has 100 hotels and over 40,000 employees across the world.
In 2006 he sold the group's tour operator and travel agency divisions to the Carlyle Group for $950 million.
His eldest daughter Sabina runs the company as CEO while his other daughter Gloria is the chief sustainability officer.
The Fluxá family still owns the original footwear and leather company, Lottusse.
In 2024 King Felipe VI awarded him the Encomienda de Isabel la Católica for his impact on the tourism and hospitality industry.
